God has blessed me with an estate and outward comforts in the world, which I reckoned to leave to my posterity. And now I have none to leave it to, nor any comfort in thinking of it. The purposes of my heart are broken off, and the comfort of all my other enjoyments blasted by this stroke in one hour. How have the pains and cares of many years come to nothing!
