You have done great things in our land, and your right hand has brought mighty things to pass; O Lord you have done great things to this vine of your English Israel, and what could you have done more for it than you have? You have planted it by your hand, placed it in your vineyard, hedged it by your providence, guarded it by your angels, watered it by your Spirit, pruned it by your rods, supported it by your power, committed it to your husbandmen, beautified it by your mercies, and fructified it by your abundance, not of sour but sweet grapes, the wild boar of the wood can never root it up, the beasts of the forest shall never devour it.
