The True Salve Regina, Grounded upon the Scripture

Hail, Jesus Christ, king of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope, hail. To you we call, the wretched children of Eve; to you we call and sigh, weeping and wailing in this valley of tears. Turn therefore your merciful eyes toward us, you spokesman and advocate of ours, and show us the face of your blessed Father in the everlasting glory, as you have promised us, O gracious, O sweet Christ and son of the virgin Mary.
