The former delivered in various sermons in Cambridge, for the weekly fasts, 1625. The two latter in Lincoln's Inn. By the late learned and reverend divine, John Preston, Doctor in Divinity, Chaplain in Ordinary to His Majesty, Master of Emanuel College in Cambridge, and sometime Preacher at Lincoln's Inn.

Psalm 45:6. Your throne, O GOD, is forever and ever: the scepter of your kingdom is a right scepter.
Jeremiah 3:14. Return, O backsliding children, for I am married to you.
Hosea 2:7. I will go and return to my first husband, for then it was better with me than now.
