Quest. 53. What are the ends of all this dispensation and order of things in the Church?
Answ. The glory of God, the honor of Jesus Christ the Mediator, the furtherance of the Gospel, the edification and consolation of believers here; with their eternal salvation hereafter (Revelation 4:9, 10, 11; Chapter 5:12, 13; 1 Corinthians 3:22, 23; Ephesians 4:11, 12, 13).
